For our clients, the main objectives in remodeling this Algonquin master bath included maximizing storage while achieving a more open feeling. And, of course, they wanted a stand-out design with impact!

Algonquin Master Bath

In their original space, the long, narrow bathroom had separate compartments for tub, toilet, and tub, leaving the room feeling cramped. The knee space in the vanity subtracted from valuable storage and the tub at the end of the room took up a lot of square feet.

Getting It Right

The new layout eliminates the large tub, and, instead, moves the shower into it's place. By using a frameless glass shower door, the large shower keeps the room feeling open.

The former shower location behind the door is now used for linen storage. The new cabinets are less deep than the old shower which gives the room more width. This widening effect is accentuated with large 24" x 24" floor tile set on the diagonal.

Elegant Impact

The transitional design of this room seamlessly combines traditional and contemporary elements. The clean lines of the cabinetry and the expanse of white Statuario porcelain tile throughout the floor, walls, and shower set the stage for more traditional inspired details. The goose-neck faucets paired with the taller back-splash is reminiscent of antique marble sinks. The arabesque accent tile in the shower attracts the eye upon entering the master bath. Crystals and delicate curves sparkle on the accent light near the linen cabinet. Drawers and moldings used with the cherry cabinetry give the impression of furniture.

Thoughtfully assembled, this master bath is a timeless beauty that will serve our clients for many years.
