Position: Kitchen and Bath Designer/Sales

Established kitchen and bath design company with over 60 years in the northwest suburbs is seeking a new associate for our Design/Sales Team. Experienced and new designers alike can have the satisfaction of seeing projects from start to finish, managed with integrity and a commitment to customer satisfaction. New team members are mentored by senior designers and management during an initial training period before transitioning to a commissioned design/sales person.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with clients in our showroom and at their homes
  • Listening to your clients’ needs and wants and translating them into a concrete design
  • Jobsite measuring
  • Collaborating with venders and co-workers (project managers, drafting department) to ensure quality design and proper use of materials
  • Product selection and pricing for proposals
  • Complete sale of project while clearly communicating expectations to clients
  • Ordering products needed to complete the project
  • Assist with questions and details during installation
  • Manage multiple projects to completion with organized documentation

Qualifications:

What does it take to work at Cabinets Plus?

  • Kitchen and Bath/Interior design experience or education, sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain great client relationships and work within a team
  • Professional presence

Compensation: Salary plus Commission

  • Valid driver’s license; Reliable transportation.
  • Highschool graduate
  • Some knowledge of residential carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Physically able to perform remodeling tasks
